im not going to be running uber amounts of boost anyway so if i treat my box nice it should do ok....

How many boxes did psi gti go through? 7? 7x$200=$1400. Now how long did it take for those 7 to break? That's what you gotta work out. Can you save up $3000 quicker than it would take to blow up $3000 worth of boxes? If you could then I'd buy the expensive box.

BTW I spent the better part of $10K on a gearbox, $3K is cheap for peace of mind IMO.

Tom was along younger and dumber when he owned PSIGTI so that helped out with the gearbox tally.

Has much changed? Besides he earns enough to replace 2 gearboxes an day.

hmm......psi did burn through boxes...not as much as tyres though...if you get my drift..

i do agree with doing it once though, PSI had a standard box, a rally HD box, a suzitech box, and a few cino ones...

i think it came down to being 18 and stealing maccas trays from Lilydale..

i intend to get one of DMW daves GTi boxes with lsd...but really, with 7-10PSI and easy launches...and no flat footing it in 1st to 2nd...you'll be right...

but wats the fun in that

i dont see the problem with obtaining one of dmwdaves boxes as they come in at around $1300ish, and for the amount of boost being run and with sensible (hahahaha)drivers should be sweet.

I always factor in my stupidity, it's hard to be sensible.

never been able to check this before. im impressed that it worked, but not impressed that there is something wrong.....

DTC? Is that like a scan tool?

diagnostic trouble code. with my old ecu the engine light was on permanantly (till i removed the globe) i have toms old ecu in the car now so i can read the codes.

hahahha does that mean my engine light will come on in my car aswell??

a power wire under the dash shorted out and got really hot and started burning. the conversation between me and josh at the time......

yeah, half scared me a bit, but its all good.

plan for the weekend, replace oil filter, replace oil, remove and clean MAF sensor and test if still not better.....

Get fire extinguisher....

no more hiccups for a month or so eh!

yeah pulled the afm out yesterday, didnt have any contact cleaner so just cleaned it with a rag and put it back in. disconnected the battery, put it back on and started it up, no more codes......for now......
