Right, everyone knows me im Tom.....bought a 1993 ss GTi in Feburary 08, with hardly any luck with my last GTi, i thought maybe this one would give me some love.
For Sale thread showed a fairly neat looking GTi, apparently had a full motor re-build and new gearbox. ..flew to Brisane to pick her up, and after an easy 2 year break from a GTi, i was extremely suprised with its power, handed over the cash and the rest is history.

All was good, life was grand. Met "white" Rhys down the strand one night, then "red" rhys came for a fang..was a good few months. Then.....BAM......due to a now aparent Faulty injector, no.2 piston decided it had enough, packed up, and fukd off.
Thus causing another 6 months of epic self discovery.

And then we come to now...Im here in Afghanistan, Gti has been re-built and "white" rhys is looking after her (if mass singles is considerd looking after hahaha) im stuck in a place that i never liked, but thinking thats it will bring financial security and a pretty sexy looking little car.

thats the story so far, this car has alot of blood, sweat, and beers through it. Its only the beggining!

verdict is FYI:
15" speedy hyperfangs, will be powdercoated white, then will be wrapped with semi slicks for 1. track days, and 2. midnight runs up mt stuart

got these coming hmmmm tasty tasty, some may say they are the same as red rhys's...well you'd be right haha

so, i think this will take some time...but im gonna start reading up on ITB's
and what i can get for different prices...

also....will be ordering a good quality set of rear speakers...DEMANDED by white rhys

If money isn't and object get some Morel speakers.

And seriously I would stick with a single TB setup if you plan on driving this thing as a daily still. I love ITB setups just as much as the next guy but they can be expensive, hard to setup and hard to maintain for very litte gains. But they are the logical next step if you are staying NA I spose, I'd just invest in another daily that is more reliable than the parts rolla.

HAHA the emak rolla is gone to rolla heaven. i really can;t see this thing being a daily for too much longer, specially when mr lauder gets back.....

Yeah that's my point, we all have to wake up to ourselves eventually and realise when our cars aren't daily's anymore. suzuki I drove a 400hp V8 as a daily for a few years, it cost me a hell of alot in breakages and suzuki though.

definantly going to be a weekend hatch...when its done anyways..
will be a daily for at least a week when i et back..

might buy a late model corolla for a daily.....or an s14
